
Jennifer has always dreamed of becoming a multi-tasking star. Growing up she was fascinated by a myriad of musical styles, including Afro-Caribbean music like salsa, merengue, bachata and merengue, as well as pop music hip-hop, R&B. She was a huge fan of films and music. West Side Story, a musical by Rita Moreno (1961), was her most significant source of inspiration. At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer, besides being an entertainer and a Catholic schoolgirl, attended eight years at Holy Family Catholic elementary school located in The Bronx. After a 4 year period and graduation, she attended Preston High School, an all-girls prep school. Jennifer was a skilled athlete who competed in track and fields and tennis in school, was an impressive pupil. Her entire life was upbringing in a two-story house within the Castle Hill neighborhood. Jennifer moved out of the home of her parents at 18 , to leave. Lopez was employed in the law office, while also dancing in the evenings.
